Hi! I’m Whitney Moseley (Whitney Nicole), the owner of Cut Design Studio. Most the time you will find me catching a plane, computer in one hand, coffee in the other, camera strapped to my back and earphones playing whatever new book tiktok told me to get. A Louisiana girl that calls Houston, Texas my home base. I have 2 oversized fur-babies and an annoyingly perfect-for-me husband. I am an Enneagram 7, extraverted-extravert, ENFP, Acts of Service loving kinda gal.
I come from a family of entrepreneurs and always knew that I wanted to create a company that I was proud of. Cut Design Studio was sparked through my love for small businesses. I have always wanted to help businesses figure out how to tell their story in a way that speaks to the heart of their business and how they want clients to perceive them. I found that I was energized by hearing what others are passionate about, and being able to help them fill in the blanks. Originally this was just a hobby. I loved creating websites, learning code and the psychology behind design choices. I decided to get my graduate degree in Digital Marketing and really turn my passion into a career. I hope to one day share my knowledge on what has worked and what hasn’t to inspire others to follow what they are passionate about and how to monetize their hobbies.

I like to break the process into 4 parts: Strategize, Develop, Refine, & Implement.
· Strategize
To ensure we can create a brand that tells the heart of your business and has the feeling you want clients to experience while interacting with your brand, we will start with strategizing.
We will run through a branding questionnaire that helps narrow down ideas and what you want your brand to say from a client perspective. Usually, as we go through your vision for your company and where you are in this process, this vision will unfold. This will help us find how we better showcase who the company is as a brand, and how it can compare to the competition.
Where you want the future of your company to go is a huge part in developing your brand voice and how you want your client to feel when interacting with your brand. Once we understand the vision we will do a collaborative inspiration board, and a strategy call to get to the exact brand personality and voice you want presented to your ideal client. Color, font, and brand positioning are all crucial in how your brand is perceived.
· Develop
Once we establish your brand’s strategic direction, we get to the fun part: brand development! I will conduct typography research, logo structures, and illustrate any additional components of your brand design to be presented to you for tweaks.
· Refine
We will nail down the final brand design and place each logo, watermark, color palette, typography and brand detail and voice into a guidelines document. The guideline will be just that, a guideline to help develop a brand personality and act as a map for social media, handouts, ads and marketing. This is also helpful to give to anyone doing work for your company to help with ads, any design work, sponsorships and collaborations. This will maintain consistency and help ease the stress of executing visual presence for your brand! This will also give us direction on the website and how we want that to look!
· Implement
After that we will work together to set a launch timeline to show the world your new company and website!
Well, every client is different and might lean towards one style vs another, and I try to incorporate that as much as I can. My personal style can be described as clean, neutrals, with natural textures and elements. I love getting inspiration from my travels and how certain color combinations can make you feel. I am influenced by everything from the water in Thailand to the color of the sand in Iceland. Each location can inspire a design style by providing unique visual elements, color palettes, and cultural influences.
